It makes a lot of sense. There are big cost savings available with an online shop compared with the traditional bricks and mortar store front. This trick only works right after Valentines Day, Mothers Day etc and you've probably already guessed. Yes, florists will discount any left over stock the day after. So if you happen to need flowers for any occasion at this time.. what a perfect way to get them cheaper. Another trick that works with a flower store in your area that you want to pick up flowers from is to see if they have a shop online. If so you will usually get the flowers cheaper than someone walking through the door. Why, simply because they need to compete with other online florists to get sales and because of the low overheads with their online shop they are willing to charge less. It's all extra business they otherwise would not have had. The last thing I check is the delivery price. Some online florists will offer flowers free delivery but most don't and often they wont offer it for their entire range. For the florists that don't offer free delivery, sometimes you can get better value with a special promotion or other discount. Usually the delivery charges aren't that high anyway. In any case even if you do get fee delivery, you need to look at the total cost to decide whether or not you are getting value for money.
